Our 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is a compact crossover SUV that comfortably fits five people inside. It’s available in four trim levels: ES, SE, SEL, and GT. Even the features on the base Mitsubishi Outlander Sport are notable, including the 2.0-liter engine, 18-inch alloy wheels, heated mirrors, remote keyless entry, cruise control, full power accessories, air-conditioning, a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, cloth upholstery, a height-adjustable driver seat, 60/40-split folding rear seatbacks, Bluetooth connectivity, and a four-speaker CD player with a USB port. The 2.0-liter engine is a four cylinder beast that generates a maximum of 148 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. But there’s another option for those who want even more performance. The 2.4-liter engine that is standard on the SE, SEL, and GT trim levels increases engine output to produce a maximum of 168 horsepower and 167 lb-ft of torque.
