2017 Mitsubishi Lancer Model Details
The 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer is by far the oldest 4-door compact sedan sold in the U.S., with a car launched in 2007 now entering a remarkable 11th year. This alone speaks to not only its popularity but its affordability as well. This sporty vehicle that replaces the equally popular 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer offers remarkable value for the money you spend. It’s offered in base ES, ES AWC, SE, and top SEL formats, the latter three offering all-wheel drive as standard. The base front-wheel-drive 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer ES is equipped with a 2.0-liter, inline 4-cylinder engine that generates a maximum of 148-horsepower with a 5-speed manual gearbox standard and an optional continuously variable transmission (CVT) that Mitsubishi says is redesigned for better performance and fuel economy. The rest of the Lancer range features a 2.4-liter, inline 4-cylinder engine that produces a maximum of 168-horsepower.
2017 Mitsubishi Lancer Safety Features
Our Mitsubishi dealers are proud to share with you that the 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer has been equipped with some of the latest and greatest safety features on the market. Of course, it has all the standard features like airbags throughout the vehicle, an upgraded steel frame and more. But it also includes post-collision braking to help decrease the intensity of a collision, blind-spot monitoring to help you merge into other lanes safely, as well as a coasting feature built into the adaptive cruise control. It’s also received four out of five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in all four of its tests.
2017 Mitsubishi Lancer Special Features
As far as interior improvements, there’s a new seven-inch touch-screen infotainment display that offers touch response familiar to smartphone users (for example pinch, pull, swipe, instead of using buttons), and voice activated commands. Talk to our dealers about the other incredible features available.
